Glad you checked your receipt OP.
Can you imagine a person who can't read English or has sight issues?
They are going to make a killing off people - especially those who NEED the bread and eggs at a low price.
Please try another Shoppers. They aren't all the same.
I have found a nice one in Ajax and a not so nice one too - same town.
This one is in a plaza with a Freshco along Hwy #2 . I think that would be Pickering maybe?? Oh well like I said since the stealing of the SDM points in Dec. I have had a bad feeling about the store in general.
It would take much to woo me back that is for sure.
wow. who makes this crap up? These people really are out of touch with how most people shop these days.
I spend a lot less time and money at shoppers these days.
Thanks for pointing this out! Guess, I will have to be on my "A" game!
I had something like this happen tonight at my SDM (haven't really been since before christmas, just prescriptions and emergency sinus medicine)... cashier told me that I really shouldn't be able to get the 28 cans of soup I had in my cart. I asked why and she said cause it's normally limit 4....
I said there was no sign up. And no mention of a limit of 4 in the flyer and she said... well no not this time, cause they are all ringing in for 59 cents each, but that normally that wouldn't be allowed.
??? I'm all for limits IF there's signage that's up. Even store specific signage, I mean fine if that's that particular stores policy, but to just tell me when I get to the cash no? Weird
Doesn't matter really, she let me get the soup in the long run. Just weird that she felt the need to mention it.
What is wrong with SDM.....where did keeping it simple and basic go.....?
More and more marketing is getting out of control, especially when they get deceitful..they need to go back to basics if they really want to keep the customers happy and coming back....Uggg.
Wow. Thanks for posting this. This could have happened to me!
The way I read it is:Eggs are $1.99 then under in Caps it states BEN'S bread and states limit 2 for the bread not the combination of bread and eggs..:-~..I would dispute this...I did on their facebook page...I will go 2morrow and try this..will post the outcome..
Thank you for the catch.:top:
I wonder if it's a deceitful way of making money (even if only $0.60) from customers who can't read the fine print/check receipts/interpret the flyer wrong. If it's every store across Canada, I would imagine that brings in a lot of money, or a lot of customers to the store for a deal that isn't as good as they think.
I think SDM and WM are the two stores that drive me the most nuts...
I see what they mean, but they should have put them both in a box (milk and eggs) and stated on the outside, limit 2 total, or something like that. It's just very unclear.
Ew. Good thing we don't eat bread loves and SDM doesn't sell the Omega 3 eggs we buy. That sneakiness is gross
