Summer is soon! Cool treats are coming!
Here's some of my favorites, I'll post more as they come:
Yogurt dots:
Fill a sandwich baggie with yogurt of your desired flavor, and cut the corner with scissors like a piping bag. Squirt dots onto a plate. I covered mine (not my picture, just my inspiration) with saran wrap to provide easy removal. Stick in the freezer for a few hours for best results. Kids won't sit still to eat a cup of yogurt, but they'll love these! If you don't think eating with hands is a good idea, eating them with a spoon is still just as fun.
Serendipity3 frozen hot chocolate:
The absolute simplest form of the recipe is:
Hot chocolate powder
Milk and/or water
Ice.
Crush up the ice with the liquid and hot chocolate powder in a blender. If you have a small ice cube tray, use that rather than the bigger cubes. They crush easier. On the go, those tubular ice chips from ice bags work great.
If desired, add a bit of coffee, or coffee flavoring (like french vanilla, butterscotch, etc) or omit chocolate powder entirely and just go for straight (prepared how you like it, with sugar and milk) coffee for a frappuccino drink. You can also make this with tea, iced tea, lemonade or basically any drink. Just omit milk and water if the drink is already prepared. Simple? Yep. But people don't seem to think they can make these at home!
SO much cheaper than buying slurpees, and so much more economical. This thread is currently associated with: N/A

I love frozen hot chocolate!
I used to make it all the time. Super easy to make low fat/sugar too.
low fat milk/soy milk + cocoa powder + stevia/splenda etc + a pinch of salt and ice!
