Gosh, how bad for you Cinny. Will the stores ever come to an agreement in terms of special events and accepting coupons? I was able to use mine today w/o any problem.

I went to the Loblaws in LaSalle today and when I got to the cash and was giving my coupons, the cashier said that since it was no tax day, they wouldn't accept my coupons! I put all my stuff down that I would have bought with coupons and went to the customer service counter. One cashier didn't know about it but the one at the counter said that management told them all to not give rainchecks and not accept coupons!

WTH!!!??? What difference would it make to them to accept coupons - tax day or no tax day? Am I missing something?

if taxe is included in fpc, they "lose" that value from those coupon (if that store is aware of that) if the fpc including tx is used on an other day the manufacturer paid the tx... if they accept that fpc on tx free day, grocery store paid the tx They could prefered to pass this to the manufacturer instead of themself by not accepting that kind of fpc... but this is just hypothesis from me.

There were plenty at Maxi Angrignon yesterday. They were at the fridge with salad kits. Used my 4 expiring coupies

You were allowed to use 4...i went today to my Maxi and picked up 10 - then the cashier says the coupon states 1 per customer(Of course i couldnt see that cos the writing is too darn small!!)
So i cam away with...1. Very sad.
Does walmart sell it so i can maybe price match?

Anyone know if the Purex deal is likely to be at Maxi next week - i've got a bunch of those 2,50 coupons and i'd actually like to use some but am not sure its worth the trip just for that!

That coupon is so small that i didnt even read that part lol I got 10 and the cashier must have not read it either. I wish they would make them a little bigger for us old foggies

Yesterday, I tried my luck at Loblaws on Cavendish since I was going to visit my sister and they accepted my coupons no problems! So inconsistent. However, I somehow lost my coupon for Speedstick somewhere so I didn't buy any. I was just using cents/dollar off coupons, not FPC's so I don't think the no tax event would affect the Loblaws redemption from the manufacturer.
