I thought I should add my 2 cents on Munch's bad boy situation.

I like the board the way it is especially sharing news of our days and supporting each other like when Munch lost his dog, or the storm was traveling through hitting all of us at different times ... birthdays, vacations, bad and good moods, interesting pictures, funny antidotes and jokes, racing for the words, Name That Munch, poems relating to our group ... all good for me.

Even a bit of spicy humour is fun - takes way more than I've seen to offend me, but I'd be happy to keep it at the occasional amount it is so not to loose the other good stuff. I think the balance is great and we still get the root reason the board started - the winning words and codes.

Well, I think that's the reason for the board. If anyone knows where we can find the reason and rules of the board, I'd like to know so I can read them.

On the other hand, one has to play by the rules. If a moderator says no more, one has to respect that, but nothing that Munch has done has caused any concern for me personally, quite the opposite. Except, Munch, you shouldn't taunt the Moderators. They are just trying to help and so am I because I'd like to see you reinstated.

Yes, I went to the Summer Bash. It was great! Weather was great! People were great! Music was great! And it was free!

I'll put up a few pictures after I get a bit of sleep. Got home after 2am.

Just read your post MJ. You pretty much hit the nail on the head. I have found the camaraderie around here very endearing. I like hearing about the different effect a major storm has on everyone in different places, and hearing about the trials and tribulations of the members. I havent been offended by anything I've seen or read to date yet either. In fairness, Koala had to edit some posts earlier today, and for a minute, I wondered what it was I wasn't allowed to see. Regardless, I think the majority of us are in agreement. Things just need to work themselves out.

BTW to the powers that be. I don't know if this post is going to be read or not but.... I can see your point about wanting to keep the thread on the topic of Q107 and related issues. That is the name of the the forum after all. I guess your trying to look out for the members that you feel might be annoyed, hearing about someones birthday, or links to other joke sights and what not. Keep the thread on track is important and if I missed a winning word or a bonus code because of someones endless banter, then I would be pretty mad and I would post a strongly worded protest.

But that is not the case here. The members actually race to see who gets the winning word up first, and there is not a single bonus code, winning word, slueth code, etc. that I have missed since joining SC. There must be a sense of diplomacy excersized here. If the essence of the forum begings to deviate too much, and things begin to go awry, then by all means, intervene. But as long as things are moving along fine, and not a word is being missed.... what's the old saying? "if it aint broke, don't fix it".

Ultimately, the desicion of censorship and editing is up to the powers that be, but I thought you might want one members opinion. Richard aka Wizeguy
