Next word would be a U2 code, but they are coming at various times so it's hard to tell - Q is keeping us on our toes.

If you keep refreshing the listen and win screen, a new code will become available when one is going to be announced.

Okay, time for the surprise. Still trying to work 1 or 2 things out, so you`ll have to bear with me.

Since I`m not always available to do the recap & do, on occasion, have a life (I can hear the snickering from the peanut gallery - you know who you are ), I was trying to figure out a way to make it easy for someone else to take over on those days.

Mjones58 was kind enough to set up an online Google spreadsheet that makes entering info really easy & quick. Since some folks have expressed a concern over having lurkers get the recap without contributing to the fun, this is one way to encourage them to join. So if you want to have access to the recap, you'll have to join the party. Peeping toms have to entertain themselves.

The other thing that spreadsheets are good for (& I LOVE spreadsheets) is keeping track of all sorts of info. Which is a nice segue to the surprise.

Every week we`ll have a special ceremony & present a gift to the one who gets the most points. The gift is something special from the Candyland store (you can see examples on the left hand side of my post under my avatar, I have a fish, present and a book). So, in order to get points, you have to try to get the winning words. Winners will be decided by the order they appear on the thread. First place gets 3 pts, second place gets 2, third place gets 1. I'm sure we can think of some other reasons to give out bonus points too.

So, everyone flex your fingers, get your computers revved up (no doubt the folks in the deals section will have tips on where to get some Red Bull really cheap) & have some fun!

The nightly recap will stay the same for the rest of the week. Let me know what you think, feel free to pm me if you`re not comfortable giving me a public flogging. & I might deserve it, since I leave you with this:

Wow Andit and mjones58, that is a huge undertaking! I love the idea.
Where would the prizes come from, the moderators? I am unfamiliar with presents, and what exactly Candyland is.

Anyway, the spreadsheet should reduce the amount of typing for either one of you.

As far as the lurkers are concerned, it is of no concern to me. Quite a few of them have joined us now. I was a lurker for a week when I found this web site by accident. I joined because this thread and the JACK-FM threads were very helpful to me, and I wanted to give back what I took when I lurked.

Now I have caught myself trying to pry myself away from Smart Canucks so I could get other things done. Yeah, I enter a few contests here and there. Also there is that Fun Fun Candy game in the arcade section that I can't seem to play without blinking.

Oh, Joanne Wilder just announced another U2 winning word is coming up after the Psychadelic Snack. Time to get ready.

It's one of the kinks I'm still working out. It will likely be me, at least until I run out of candy. Gonna have to pick a few brains to figure out how I can earn lots of candy...legally, of course.

The other kink is to try & get a gift exclusive to this thread. Once I know all the answers (if I ever will), I'll let everyone know.
