Good morning all. Thanks again for the words I missed this morning.
Did anyone catch the Ringo jokes this morning? I only remembered two:
What do a sneeze and a Ringo Starr drum solo have in common?
You can feel them both coming, but there's nothing you can do about either.
What do Ringo and a broken grandfather clock have in common?
Neither keep time very well.
Anyone remember any others? What do the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Titanic have in common?
They both look good until they hit the ice.

Anyone rushing out to buy the remasters today? Rock Band?
I have to be honest, I'm a HUGE fan, but I'm not overly excited. I downloaded the remasters over the weekend (Sorry, but I don't see the point in contributing to Paul, Ringo and Yoko's $1.6B payday for something I already own), and gave them a listen. Apart from the stereo separation on the earlier albums, which were previously only available in mono, I don't hear anything that can't be adjusted with a good old-fashioned turn of the volume knob.
My plea to Paul, Ringo and Yoko: Give the fans something that hasn't been made available... GIVE US LET IT BE ON DVD!!! (with all the hours of footage that were SUPPOSED to be released back when Let it Be... Naked was released!)What do the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Titanic have in common?
They both look good until they hit the ice.

Just to clarify: I'm not saying the new remasters aren't worth the money they're asking. If you're a fan, and all you have is one or two Beatles CDs, this is an excellent chance to pick up the entire catalogue. If you already have the entire catalogue, the earlier albums (the ones previously only available in mono) are definately worth picking up.

Good morning all. Thanks to everyone for posting the winning words, trivia and the reps. I apologize that I myself may be lurking this morning/today, but it's been not stop since I walked in the door (actually before I got here, darn cell phones).

Thanks for the early morning words everyone.
Call me old-fashioned but I do see "the point" in paying for Beatles Remastered .. just not today.
Has anyone heard from Loocie lately? Should we be worried about her?
