Karl, Alex seems a very personable guy; i've sent him a couple emails before and he's responded right away and i've given him a request or two which he did play for me. He just seems like a really nice guy.

Alex is one of the most personable, approachable announcers at Q. When I worked evenings, we used to chat back and forth through e-mails. Any time I'm downtown picking up something or other, if Alex is within earshot, he immediately recognizes my voice and pops out to say hello.

I was actually going to be one of his guest co-hosts when he was offering listeners the opportunity to join him on air for a few hours a month last year. Unfortunately, some ultra-religious father-and-son team that he had on spoiled that for everyone else.

I did pop in to say hello on the way out of the Tragically Hip show I saw at Massey Hall, and he put me on-air to talk about it. (this was the night Alex Lifeson of Rush joined them for The Last Recluse and Little Bones)

Cool. Alex does seem to be pretty personable and interested. Agree, from what I've read, that Tesla's contribution to what we currently enjoy is major, but not generally recognized.
