"Corus Entertainment Inc. is forecasting an uptick in profits next year as the economy starts to recover, giving a boost to the Canadian television, radio and publishing company.
The management team at the Toronto-based broadcaster said Tuesday at Corus's investor conference that it's aiming for a consolidated profit of $255 million to $270 million in fiscal 2010, helped by cost savings across the organization."

Whoa... table service? I remember it basically like a cafeteria experience. You stood in the cattle line, ordered your food, wandered around looking for a table, then left and someone bussed the table?

For a kid who's idea of dinner out was McDonalds, Ponderosa was fine dining, lol!

I sure do remember the Red Barn. I think the old radio ads ended with a man in a bass voice singing, "It's the red barn". Is it just me, or was Hamburger Hungry not a serious ripoff of Ernie from Sesame Street?

I've seen a couple of the old Red Barn buildings around Southern Ontario recently. There's one in Cambridge that is now a mattress or furniture store and there's one in Kitchener (not sure what is in it now).

Not sure if it's still there, but there used to be a Red Barn on Dundas in Mississauga. Last time I was there, I think it was a licensed Mr Sub. There might have been another one on Bloor or Queensway or further down Dundas... I think that was a Ho Lee Chow last time I saw it?
