not in for the four-fifteen...i'm "borrowing" someone's computer, but can u believe they don't have a RADIO? geesh, no radio... this "younger generation"!
Wow, someone else who went to Y.S.!!! Actually, I hung around there quite a bit. I used to go in on Saturday afternoon for the afternoon sets and stay for the night sets as well (Friday's and sometimes other days as well). There were quite a few regulars that went there.
Did you go to the Gas Works as well?

Anyone else know the place I mean?

Wow. The Gasworks... spent every lunch hour there... and perhaps a bit more

during the spring & summer of 1970. I was a young Mad Scientist then,

working at Electro-Sonic, 543 Yonge Street!! Loved the rice & meatballs.

Wish I'd caught some of the evening entertainment, though!

Just did a Google Maps search on the address, because I used to work in the neighbourhood myself in a used CD shop.

    Didn't work THERE, though
What do the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Titanic have in common?

They both look good until they hit the ice.

After reading about a few of you playing the slots I tried it a few times. I lost more than I won but didn't chance the big numbers. Actually its kind of fun.

Remember I said I was trying to win that Ipod on Q107 well I entered it 40 times at 1,700 points each time and didn't win!! Oh well, I know theres lots and lots of people entering these contests, guess I'll be trying for the Sony 8GB walkman next.

    Anyone else won anything?

When *I* worked at 543 Yonge Street, CDs were FAR, Far FAR

in the future!! (I foresaw them, though!)

Eight tracks were just coming of age... *sigh*

Yea, the entertainment was good if you were into rock. All the good local bands played there (Goddo, Rush, Mornington Drive etc. etc.) The outdoor patio with the quarts was pretty good too. I couldn't believe a few years ago there was a Dollar store in place of it!! and Young Station well its been a strip club for years. Geez.......
