Catching up a bit late today. I saw Floyd at Ivor Wynn in 1975. My very first concert, and it was ten bucks believe it or not.

Wow looks like I missed an exciting day!!
Spent the better part in the ER, but not to worry everythings OK (other than my knee)
Slipped going down the stairs and twisted it.
Damn thing was - I hadn't even had a drink! (before it happened)

Thanks to everyone for all the wierd animals (platapus' and wombats) and all the other codes that I missed.

BTW - welcome to all the newbee Qbee's that are no longer lurkers.
Hope to hear from you soon!!!
How old would you be, if you didn't know how old you were?

    Hey Robyn:

I saw them in New York at the old Yankee Stadium during the Division Bell tour in '94. I was very fortunate to have a connection that got us great tickets - we were fairly close to the stage right in the centre. I've seen many shows in my day but that one will always hold a special place in my memory. The giant stage setup and the light show were simply breathtaking. If you don't have it, I would recommend that you pick up the Pulse DVD. It was recorded at Earls Court in London during the same tour.

In 2006, I tried to get to one of David Gilmour's concerts in France during his On an Island solo tour. I was in the area at the time, but I couldn't justify the 350 Euros (about $550) that the "resellers" wanted for ONE ticket. If you're a big Floyd fan, I'd also recommend Gilmour's "Remember That Night" DVD from his concert at Royal Albert Hall during that solo tour. They do the entire solo album in the first set, but the second set is all Pink Floyd stuff, including an amazing rendition of Fat Old Sun, the entire 20+ minutes of Echoes and David Bowie singing on Arnold Layne and Comfortably Numb! It's awesome!
