A similar story. When I was 6, we had a lot of presents under the tree for the whole family - like 6 feet deep. Our 6 month old collie, broke out of the basement when we were out and opened half the presents until he found the one with the fruitcake. I was happy that Santa still had to bring his presents.

Years ago my niece and nephew were staying the night at the Grandparents for Christmas Eve (their parents were working). They were 6 & 4 I think. They got up early on Christmas Day like 6:00AM and went right to the tree. Began ripping into gifts, realized that gift wasn't for them and tossed them aside and kept going. Well Grandma and Grandpa woke up to a room full of shredded wrapping paper and open gifts, no tags on them, nothing helping them to know who they were for and who they came from. Lets just say they were none to pleased

Very cute.. I once knew a little puppy quite a bit like that.. she just wouldn't get out of the snow banks..and she was white..so it was so hard to find her....on another note.. I may be able to pick up my Sadie on Friday..she got a clean bill of health and micro chipped from the vet.

I used to have a cat, Fluffer, who loved garbage. It was really embarrassing because she used to trot along behind the garbage truck on pick up days.

Really! LOL! Thats kind of strange as kitties usually like things to smell nice - case in fact - they hate a stinky litter box!! Right?

P.S. That said kitties are individuals thats for sure.

Lily dog's first Xmas with me, she completely ignored the little tree I put on the table (my place is tiny). When we went to my folks' place, I took off her leash & collar, she sees the *big* tree & runs straight at it. I had visions of toppled tree, broken furniture, broken dog. At the very last second, she literally turned on a dime, tucked her tail & ran straight back to me. She kept doing that during the week we were there - tucking her tail every time.

Quincy cat simply ignored the tree, the first time he saw it.

Years ago, I had a budgie who loved Xmas. If we couldn't find him anywhere else, we would look under the tree. He liked to hide behind the presents.
