Hey Loocie,
A suggestion for you......... when the orchestra starts to play, have your band leader turn over onto his stomach. It is nearly impossible to snore while trying to sleep this way. By the time he realizes that he does not like this position, you can already be asleep (which really is the true trick... getting to sleep before the band starts up).
I find that nose strips and oils do not work.... lowering the temperature in the bedroom will help as well.
