Thanks everyone. Repped where I could. Sure took awhile to go through some of the past days posts! Funny stuff putt! LOL.
Ecat, I had an awesome time in Vegas. I was lucky enough to come back with more money than when I went (even after all the drinking, eating, gambling, going to shows, etc). I landed about 2:30 am but took awhile to get luggage, pick up car and drive home. I didn't get in until about 4:30am. It will take a couple days to get back on schedule! hahah

The secret to using the YouTube embed tool is that you only use tha part of the link at the end that comes after the equals sign (=). So to embed your video, the part that goes between the YouTube brackets is: s1zywSttByM
When you do that, you end up with something like this:

Hope everyone had a great day.
Had fun at the art show opening. There was a speech commending the artists & a violinist accompanying an interpretive dancer (not quite as weird as it sounds).
But the funny part was when we were leaving. As I was putting on my coat, the speaker rushed past me, bumping into me. Now, it's important to note that he had a green ribbon on his lapel, & apparently everyone & their brother was asking him what it stood for.
He apologized to me, & I said, "The green ribbon...."
He cut me off, "Yes, for organ donation awareness."
"I know," I said pointing to the green ribbon on my jacket, "I had a kidney/pancreas transplant 6 yrs ago."
The poor man just about fainted. He hugged me, said, "You're what it's about. Take care of yourself." Then he ran off.
My friend was a few feet away, watching all this. She came over & started teasing me, asking me why strange men were hugging me.
Turns out the hugger was some sort of manager at Trillium Gift Of Life, the organ donor awareness folks in Ontario.
So, I'm wondering if this is the new pick up line? Hi, I had a kidney transplant, wanna see my scars?
Sorry, for those who don't know me very well, I have a terribly warped sense of humour. I couldn't stop laughing all the way home.
Night all.

You have absolutely nothing to be sorry about, Andi! I think it's vital to have a sense of humour when one faces life-threatening health issues. I'm convinced that my wife's good nature and sense of humour helped her to win a battle with cancer a while back. It also helped the rest of us to stay positive while we went through it together.
I did some work through Trillium (wonderful organization) many years back in my flying career. A company I worked for provided air services for organ retrieval teams and I've carried my fair share of "parts" from all over Canada and the northern US to waiting recipients in Toronto, London and Montreal. Of all the missions I've flown during my career, getting those missions done safely and in time to perform the transplant were among the most satisfying. It was humbling to think of the families who in many cases, were giving such a precious gift to a stranger while they dealt with a painful personal tragedy. I had never considered signing my donor card until I flew my first one. Now everyone in my family has signed their card and has made it clear in their legal wishes that they want to be an organ donor if that day should ever come.Last edited by FlyGuy123; Fri, Nov 20th, 2009 at 11:30 PM.

So it looks like most are in agreement that a win in the AC/DC contest would mean putting a nice little dent in the credit card to extend the stay a bit. I know I sure would!
