Mmmm, yea I guess I was forgeting about that rule!!! Seems somebody may have taken advantage of those cards the mexicans were giving out (or something similar!) Okay, guess I better leave it at that!
Wayne Newton, that would have been nostalgic! I took a look at the room where he does his show at the Tropicana, what was he like, give some details about that, I would have liked to have gone too. I missed going into his store it was closed on the Sunday and ran out of time to go back!
I seen the Beatles Love show at the Mirage, really good.
Glad you enjoyed yourself!
P.S. and how did you come back with more money than you left with? What kind of gambling did you get lucky at!

Wayne Newton was really quite entertaining. Although his voice struggled quite a bit, it was still great. He was quite nostalgic and talked about a lot of the old days. He had some video screens behind him and would do some of the old duets. His orchestra would play and he would sing along with Sammy Davis Jr. or Dean Martin and after would talk about some times with them. There was a whole section of the show dedicated to the veterans, active soldiers and his time with the USO. There certainly is a reason he is called Mr. Las Vegas. He has been performing there for 50 years now.
I'd love to have seen the Beatles Love show. It was dark a couple days and sold out the others. Maybe next time.
I lost at pretty much every casino that I played in, but won EVERY time that I played at Bill's Gambling Hall and Saloon. I always play a card game called Let It Ride. I was able to get a few full houses that paid 11-1 each time. I even got up and did a bit of karaoke there (first time ever) in front of about 700+ people! Yikes!

Between the 8:15 and 4:15 there was nothing. Perhaps something will come up during the night. Will have to wait and see.
Did you not get the 4:15 entry? If not, then there is something wrong.

Hope everyone had a great day.
I went to brunch with some friends today & one of the gals told a tale of woe that had us all in stitches. I should warn the gentlemen on here, that they may not find it quite as amusing as the ladies. Well, my friend has a puppy (about 8 months old now) who was her DH's b-day present (she told him she was getting a puppy for herself, happy birthday). At any rate, her DH has a tendency to sleep through his alarm, so it's become the puppy's job to wake him up. She does this with great gusto by throwing herself (all 15lbs) on him & licking his face. Well, a couple of weeks ago, it seems the puppy was having a hard time convincing the DH to wake up, so she decided to bite him. Hard. My friend heard a funny high pitched scream, then the puppy came running up to her. My friend was ready to have words with her DH for scaring the puppy, when he hobbled into the room, doubled over, speaking in a falsetto. The puppy was wagging her tail like crazy, very proud of herself, & my friend was trying hard to be sympathetic & not laugh. Her DH was convinced she'd trained the dog to do this & was on his best behaviour for a week. Now, when he does something that annoys her, she turns to the pup & whispers, "Get him!"
Night all.

Thanks for that info on W. Newton Tad. I really wish I had of gone to that show, but my daughter really didn't understand! The Sahara where I stayed the first few nights used to have the Rat Pack and even the Beatles stayed there in room #2344 (if I had of known at first I would have asked for that room!) Its a little older place like the Tropicana. Yea, I'ill bet Mr. Newton has seen a bit on the strip over the years!!!
Yea I was lucky for the Love show. Got 1/2 price tickets for the good seats.
Bill's Gambling Hall was on the street we walked to get back to the Resort we stayed in for the week. It was about a 10 minute walk from there. That is really great getting 11-1!!!
Good on ya doin the karoke in front of all those peopleTTYL
