pictures come out???

No pictures. I've given up trying to put pictures in. Everytime I try it asks for a URL what ever that is. All I ever want to do is to take a picture from my desktop and put it on here but it won't let me. This is the only time I can't post a picture. All other sites I have no problem.

I had the same issue. Instead of using the picture icon click the attachment icon on the top row (paperclip next to the smiley face) and then browse to your picture. By the way, URL is Uniform Resource Locator (sometimes written as Universal Resource Locator) which is the 'official' term for a web address.

Putting pictures in as an attachment also doesn't work, it still asks for a URL.

You can save pictures on several different web sites such as Photobucket, or you can even create your own album right here on SC under your personal profile. Once your pictures are saved, the site will provide you with the address (URL) that you can use in your posts, something like this from my SC album:
