Do you really think they go through the thounds of entries to determine if you entered the correct word or not? I would think that if a word works and you receive the 1000 points then it is considered an entry and they put those into the drum for the draw. Correct me if I'm wrong. Maybe we need to get the answer from the Q contest staff to truly know how it is done.

    Canada is the next word.

    Canada is the next word.
The answer HAS been requested of Q Contest Staff several times in the past, and the same answer has been given: Only qualified entries (ie: the announced word) are eligible.
What do the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Titanic have in common?

They both look good until they hit the ice.

This is a post of my account activity for today. Where it shows the UK Road Trip Winning Word, it is an entry whether the word was entered correctly or not. If the word works it shows up as an entry.

A qualified entry may be the record of the points given for a correct entry. If you enter a word that is not close to the winning word, it will tell you that it is incorrect therefore a correct entry is one that has been awarded 1000 points.

If I'm not mistaken, --- works prior to the word being announced as well. Why not enter that?

Just to play Devil's Advocate, Isis made a post last night (post #30430) mentioning that "abcdef.....yz" would work for the UK winning words. I have not yet tried this but if this is the case, and it works, is this "word" close to the announced words? If you enter the "abc" code and you are awarded the 1000 points, is that a "legal" entry? I would tend to agree that it would be much easier for Corus to weed out the wrong words when they are entered, but if they do allow pretty much any "word", should we assume that they wouldn't double check, considering the value of the prize they are giving away?

Personally with all the people here and they help they are providing I am just going to wait for the actual word to be posted (if I am unavailable to assist) and not take the chance
