How do you know how long he had been (assumed) asleep? I also agree there are cameras on the booths so I assume he was headed for disciplanery action eventually but now it is certain and probably more severe. That is why I agree with FLYGUY123.

According to the news report (have no idea how accurate this information is), the employee was "asleep" for at least 10 minutes & several riders had passed by without paying (or doing anything to check whether he was alright!). I question why those monitoring the cameras did nothing to check on him.

As for having a medical condition, the fact that the media didn't pick up on that (presumably a press release would have been issued straight away) suggests that it was an individual who for whatever reason fell asleep on the job, as it were.

Things happen, that's a given. The employee might have been sick or overtired or simply bored. But I do worry over what might have happened if someone with ill intentions had happened by.

Hey BertBert, I'm sure the odds are against us here. It looks like Corus Radio, who owns the 'Q' as well as 104 other stations, runs the same points system pretty much everywhere. The points program itself is run by a 3rd party, so it is quite possible that the "MM" rewards are up for grabs by a large number or bidders. You probably have a better chance at the Q107 specific prises, or "L" type.
But hey, it's fun to share and play, right?

Thanks for the recap Andit! I was on the computer tonight but must confess I wasn't listening to Q tonight. I was going through music making a list for CD's while I cooked. I was tired of listening to my downloaded music until I didn't hear it for a couple of months! It's everything Q plays anyways lol!

Thank you to those who messaged your thoughts and condolences. I very much felt alot of comfort hanging out here today reading posts, getting my routine back. Over all it was a good day.
