Anyone remember when these "cube homes" were supposed to be the homes of the future?



It was supposed to give you a bigger plot, by being able to use the land underneath (where nothing grew cause it was always in shade in an industrial area). It never did catch on. I wonder if it's cause folks had enough of being in cubicles at work, they didn't want to sleep in one too?

You guys are making me feel old. There was no such thing as photo ID when I was 18. Your drivers licence did not have your picture way back when. It was easy to "borrow" id.
Some of you oldies will also remember when you went to the LCBO you selected your bottle by the stock number and wrote it down and handed it to the man behind the counter and they would come back with your bottle facing up, place it on the counter wrap it in paper and put it into a bag just for you.

Hahah! I still have my Age of Majority card too. My kids laughed so hard when they saw the long hair.

As for the Health Card, nothing like making everyone in the country pay the price for those that cheat the system. Why not make a temporary card for visitors, etc.?

Thanks for the "remember when" Loocie - haven't thought about that in years.

At one point I knew the code for Lamb's Rum off by heart. It was my Dad's drink of choice and I used to get to fill out the form!!

I had my drivers licence, so didn't need the age of majority card.

I do remember being about 10 yrs old & going to the corner store to pick up a bottle of Vodka with my 7 yr old cousin.

Of course, this was when I was visiting relatives in Europe a few years (ok, decades) ago.

I remember those days. There are still some states down south that give you your bottle in a paper bag.
