It was the Hamilton library that got me hooked on Blues.
When I was in high school I would go there and listen to albums. There were 2 that became my favorites. The Madcats(it was the hormones and album cover) and Albert Collins - Icepickin'. That man could play guitar!!
It is only this year that I have been able to find both on CD!!
That library had what looked like thousands of LPs! Get yourself a headset and they spun them for you!

Dark Side of the Moon. I was in grade 7 and i knew this kid who was like 15 or 16 and he turned me on to 420 and dark side all in one day...lol
I'm loving the responses to my question this morning. that's the problem with the desert island list...coming up with 5 is so difficult and could change from one hour to the next.
OK how about this. Is there one album you can't do without? Pare it down to one only, can you do it?
I'd have to say Dark Side of the Moon, if I had to choose.

hey shaman...how about Joe Bonamassa, Gary Moore and Derek Trucks??? Some of the newer blues men, well not gary but derek and joe for sure. I would like to recommend Live at Royal Albert Hall - Joe Bonamassa. It was new in the fall. Great live performance.
Like Muddy said...the blues had a baby and they named it rock and roll.
