[quote=electric_viking;1689027]Ok, we seemed to have fun with the desert island albums yesterday so I thought, what the heck,try it again.
What was your best classic rock artist concert and what made it so great????
Alice Cooper by far. Both his Welcome To My Nightmare and his previous to it ( I think it was called Desperado, not sure). As Alice would say, " If you just want to hear my music buy my album, but if you want a show come to my concerts". No one has ever put on a show like Alice Cooper not even Kiss.Last edited by 6ffightr9; Tue, Mar 16th, 2010 at 11:09 PM.

When I was living in Toronto,I saw a few concerts there, and the cost was negligible, late 80' early 90's...
I saw Cool and the the Gang.... and it was fun...
ok... no comments from the gallery here.. I love so many types of music...
and I still blast them in my car roof open or closed....

SO JEALOUS!!! I don't think I'm old enough to have gone to any good concerts. The only one I've really been to is the Dark Side of the Moon tribute band at Zooz in Fonthill. That was really good
I also went to the Abbey Road tribute one at Massey Hall in September. Since I'm not old enough to have seen anyone good in person I guess I'll just have to settle with the tribute bands! I would really love to go to the Comfortably Numb one coming up in March at the Opera House too!

There's still time to see classic rock acts before they die or ride off into the sunset.If you don't happen to win the london trip, i would recommend trying to get tix to the show at the acc. You'll be impressed with their show. I know your favourite band is no longer together but Roger Waters still plays a ton of Floyd at his shows and he's pretty good. I saw the Dark Side of the Moon tour a few years ago, it was very good. I wouldn't say great only because it took 2 guitarists to play the solos usually performed by David Gilmour.
Anyway, again try to catch a couple concerts before it's too late.

Worst performance = David Wilcox
Best = Arlo Guthrie
and Herman, I mean, Colin James...
But then again I'm a fossil on the board...Last edited by Owdatoon; Thu, Jan 28th, 2010 at 02:29 PM.
