    b) I don't have to pay the $150 or so required to rush a new passport

    c) Don't have to spend hours waiting in line at the airport

    d) Don't have to book time off work to take the trip

    e) No jet lag during the week following the trip

    f) I used most of the points I received from the winning words for entries in the "Q107 Rocks the Box with GNR" contest, which I didn't win either, so they both cancel each other out.

    I would have been more than happen to give up ALL those "bright side" issues PLUS some to have gone on such a trip.

    Hey, thats right Shaman, good thinking, you surely don't want to lose a few days worth of Q points going on a long drawn out trip like that, and you will, I doubt if the Q staff will be giving out the words. Why don't you stay right at home and collect those points so you can get in to win one of those awesome prizes on Club Q. We can let Derringer know you decided to stay home and appointed me to go in your place since there's probably no one who would enjoy it more! I haven't even been to England and I love Clapton (going back to Cream days) and Beck!

    Think about it....you really don't want to lose those points (thousands of them) !!!

    Let's me see how long will it take to get one million points at this rate.

    WW = 1,000 points/ entry, x 4 times Daily (8,11,4 & 9) = 4,000/day x 7 days a week = 28,000/week.

    Club Q Bonus Code = 5,000 points/entry x 1/week = 5,000 points weekly.

    Bonus Sites = 1,000 points/site x 11 sites daily = 11,000/day x 7 days a week = 77,000/week.

    Sleuth = 500 points/day x 1/day x 7 days = 3,500/week.

    TDIC = 500 points/day x 1/day x 7 days = 3,500/week.
    Sports = 500 points/day x 1/day x 7 days = 3,500/week.
    Hoax = 500 points/day x 1/day x 7 days = 3,500/week.
    City NN = 500 points/day x 1/day x 7 days = 3,500/week.

    Surveys = 500 points/week x 3/week = 1,500/week.

    That's a grand total of 129,000/week, which equates to 7.75 weeks to turnover 1,000,000 points.

    And that's assuming you enter every code and visit every site to get the points, miss one and the lenght of time goes up!

    WAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

    I guess I'll have to join Psells on the slot machine, dam one armed bandits.

    Close - no sleuth on the weekends, but there are the Points for Picks and the occasional concert Bonus Code and the very occasional Music Test. I sometimes use the slots to go up or down to the nearest 25k increment. Probably a bit less than even-money in the long run. Most I've hit is 62,500 a couple of times.

    I dunno! From my experience on the slot machine, your calculated 7.75 weeks to reach 1 million points will be your best bet.

    What do the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Titanic have in common?

    They both look good until they hit the ice.

    I seem to remember them saying they were doing a morning show from England.
    I will wait until they call back with the details first!! LOL
    The only question I cannot answer... why?

    The only 3x combination I've hit on the slot machine other than 3 cherries, is 3 bells. I have never seen 3 bars, 3 7s, or 3 chips. I also find it much easier to win betting 500 points, than betting either 100 or 2500 per spin.

    Given Shaman's big win, here's a conversation-starter for today:

    What's the best prize you've ever won from a radio station giveaway?

    Two come immediately to mind for me. The Beatles Remasters box set and tickets to Bon Jovi back on the Have a Nice Day tour in 2005. The show alone was great, but the tickets also included the opportunity to be up on the platform next to the stage for two or three songs.

    I won a trip to the Mayan Riveira last December from the CFRB Newstalk 1010 travel show. No one was home and I literally skipped around my house laughing. It totally scared the crap out of my cat!

    Shaman,

    A friendly word of caution...

    when you're at the concert in England,

    well really any concert,

    do not, I repeat,

    do not,

    at the top of your lungs,

    yell out my username...
