hey, i had one of those.
i also had a firebird, that was called "light my firebird" - guess what song i really liked as a kid when i first heard it?

my first real car was a 1976 olds cutlass supreme with a 350 rocket engine, 4 barrell carb. was a sweet ride.

heheheh... I've never actually had a drivers' license. Just couldn't be bothered, really.

When I was 15, my dad had a mid-70's Datsun 240z in his driveway, which he promised to sign over to me when I got my license. You would THINK this would be incentive enough, eh? Beautiful car, it's a shame the shape it ended up in six or seven years later.

I tried to post a pic, but it ended up being HUGE - 'til I can figure out how to size correctly, you'll just have to picture it in your mind.

Months before my 16th birthday I started in on my Mom about a car. New/used/beater, I didn't care. I knew there was no way in Hades I'd get one, but that didn't stop me from running on and on and on and on .... about it.

Morning of my birthday, I get up, look around. No presents. Mom said, your present is in the garage. I looked out the window and sure enough, her car was in the driveway.

I go tearing out in my PJs, open the garage door (manually, back then) to see a baby blue corvette smack dab in the middle of the garage with a big bow on top.

Car was a plastic replica about a foot long and 7 inches high.

My mom thought she was hilarious; I, on the other hand, was not so much thinking that was what she was!

Freeware download, I have been using it for several years. Very simple to resample/resize photos down to 800/600 or 640/480 for use on the web or to make presentations run faster. There is no point in taking a 12 megapixel photo and putting it into a medium that works just fine with jpgs that are under 300 kb.

I run a fire simulation program that needs photos to be 800/600, and irfanview lets me batch resample dozens of photos at once. Not bad for free!
