The "Q" does need another contest cause it livens up our thread,
& it keeps our point tally building on our ole’ Club “Q” homestead,
Does anyone have an inkling of what the contest may entail?
You know that they’ll have another soon, so things will not get stale,
Maybe they could have a contest called Date With a Rock Star,
You could watch Keith Richards chain smoke as he strums on his guitar,
Ronnie Woods is questionable as he is stuck on the naughty bench,
& think about it girls, would you want to be his wench?
Rod Stewart is old & wrinkled & botox is his best friend,
He could croon gritty love songs, as raspy is his trend,
Now this rhyme is a little bit biased, as it is more geared to the girls,
Cause we like a bit of excitement along side our ribbons & curls,
There are lots of mature rockers so you can pick and choose,
I would find myself leaning towards one who plays the blues,
Rockers may be wrinkled & by their message is still the same,
Life is what you make of it, & how you play the game.

Afternoon Q-bees! Been away all weekend, so thanks for all the ww and trivia answers. I agree with Loocie, there needs to be another contest so I can earn lots of points, then dump all my points into one contest.
Ever since I came to this thread, I have earned more Q-points than I can count! Thanks everyone!
I like feta cheese on pizza too! Though I generally put it on my bruschetta. Yum

Something to while away the afternoon .....
The Mud Bowl - 1950 Grey Cup
http://archives.cbc.ca/sports/football/topics/381-2169/
(about a 13 minute clip)
Played at Toronto’s Varsity Stadium, made swamp-like due to two weeks of relentless rain. The grass quickly turned to a quagmire of mud and water as the Toronto Argonauts and Winnipeg Blue Bombers did battle. Few things of note:
Dad (the real Argo53) played right guard. I tell you this because a) he's wearing #63 for this game and b) numbers are not going to mean anything when you watch this!
Players of that era played both ways (for you non-footballers, that means played both offense and defence; these guys really earned their paycheques). Dad gets an honourable mention at about 1.28 of this clip - for his Defensive efforts.
If the players look like they are dying by the end of the game - they are. Imagine playing for 80% of the plays, running on a surface that's a cross between quick sand and ice while carrying an extra 80 lbs of mud on your uniform!

After having dug to a depth of 10 meters last year, New York scientists
found traces of copper wire dating back 100 years and came to the conclusion
that their ancestors already had a telephone network more than 100 years
ago.
Not to be outdone by the New Yorkers, in the weeks that followed, California
scientists dug to a depth of 20 meters, and shortly after, headlines in the
LA Times newspaper read: 'California archaeologists have found traces of 150
year old copper wire and have concluded that their ancestors already had an
advanced high-tech communications network fifty years earlier than the New Yorkers.'
One week later, "The Cape Breton Post", a local newspaper in Nova Scotia
reported the following:
'After digging as deep as 30 meters in a brush field near Sydney, Angus
Sampson, a self-taught archaeologist, reported that he found absolutely
nothing. Angus has therefore concluded that 200 years ago, Cape Breton had already gone wireless.'

Bill & Ted's Excellent "UK Classic Rock Road Trip" Adventure is about to begin...can't wait.
I guess the gang is going to be broadcasting from the Hard Rock Cafe over there. I imagine we'll appear on-air when we arrive. Will try and get a plug in, mention a few names...thanks for all of your support.

In my opinion, what these forums could use is a Blackjack Table or perhaps a Poker Table so that members would have something to use their Candy and Rep Points on, and perhaps not get bored too much between Bonus Words. Oh, yes. I almost forgot! Most of us I would expect have jobs to fill that gap. Oh well, just a thought! Carry on as you were!
