Actually they should be referred to as "winter" tires cause they are manufactured with a softer rubber gripping the road better at temperatures below freezing, temperatures higher than freezing cause more wear on the tires...that is the only benefit to these tires.

I haven't put winter (snow) tires on my vehicles since 1974 and have never had any problems in comparison to vehicles equipped with winter tires...

It is mostly driving habits......I remember last year driving to Peterborough watching all the 4X4s passing me on the snow covered road....I passed them later when they were in the ditch..

Damn web-blocker classifies Q107's site as "entertainment". I'll have to check this out when I get home.
What do the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Titanic have in common?

They both look good until they hit the ice.

    can someone resize my pics?
The B & B we stayed at had a PC in the living room. I think they charged 2 pounds for ten minutes or so. Consider 15 pounds a day a bargain, lol!

I don't think he went around telling people what he was going to do. IF he did it, it was probably by impulse and not pre-meditated. I may be an ostrich hiding my head in the sand by I really don't want to entertain the possibility that in my daughter's case the kid is serious.

Speaking of which, he came up to me today complaining that my daughter is STILL looking at him (after I told her to stop). "get married" is still echoing through my head from yesterday. It wouldn't surprise me if they're dating in another five years.
