What are people's thoughts on bringing in a law like Quebec where you MUST have snow tires on from December to March?

I'm all for it!!!!!!

buy a good pair of all season. never had snow tires and i drive 78kms 1 way in a 1/2 ton ,no weight in the back no problems what so ever

It all depends on where one lives and drives. In the greater GTA where we get very little snow on the roads, but lots of rain and slush, all-season radials are far better and safer than snow tires any day, in any situation. If you live outside the GTA however where snow is frequent and often heavy, yes, snow tires will get you around better than radials. I live in Toronto. I do not want snow tires on my car.

I agree. I have them but I live in Niagara so need them. If you live in Toronto centre, what would be the point in snow tires?
