While some people may not want to admit it, it is not always the driver's fault for such accidents. I recall a very scary incident I had when I was in my late teens. I was driving with 3 other people in the car. Seat belts were very rare in those days, and were not mandatory. Suddenly 2 hands came from behind, completely covering both my eyes. Not being able to see a thing, I immediately slammed on the brakes bringing the car to a full and abrupt stop. Two of the other three people in the car were slightly injured by the jolt forward that they received when I stopped. I was not injured, nor was the person who was somewhat supported by covering my eyes. The person who covered my eyes thought it was all just a joke. I did not! Nor did the other 2 who were hurt. We were all lucky...that time. What if I had lost control of the car? What if there was a lot of traffic around? What if I had hit someone else in the process? What if someone in my car was seriously injured? What if?

The young fella that was driving didnt have a license, had plates on the car that were registered to another vehicle, fled the scene, and, was driving at a high rate of speed. At first I felt rage pump through my veins, but, as the day wore on, the rage was replaced by a deep sorrow for all involved. All in all it is a tremendous tragidy that I would wish on nobody. So, with this being said, please take a minute to talk to anyone in your life that may be at the age to make these terrible decisions and let them know just how fragile life is.
God bless you Nicole, and may you be at peace.

Thoughts and prayers with the family and friends. Mistake or not by the boy he knew what he was doing was wrong. They are cracking down on the no licence and insurance and wrong plates etc, because this is quite common. Very sad. Please let us know if a trust fund is started for the baby.

Glad to hear that you are feeling much better.

Chicken soup always works for me! In fact, I like it even when I'm not sick.

    Keep up the great work!

I was interested in all the different remedies for a migrane and sort of wish they were around when I was getting mine to see if they would work. I use to get migranes daily since I was 17 ( at least that was when I first noticed them) that would last for about 10-12 hours and were so bad that when driving I would have to pull over on to the shoulder because I could not see for all the bright flashes I was seeing. I would have to press on my temples until the flashing subsided and then I could continue for approximately another 20-30 minutes. Then one day I read an article ( in Readers Digest ) that stated that some people were getting migranes as a reaction from the fillings in their teeth. It would not start right away but be very gradual 8-20 years and then build up to full migranes. I talked to my dentist I about it when I was 28 and decided to replace the metal fillings with ceramic ones every time I came in for check ups for the next three visits. The migranes went away soon after the second session and have had maybe a dozen migranes over the next 25 or so years. Everyone of those migranes were do to either hammering all day rooffing or working all day in the hot sun without a hat or sunglasses. I found that the best remedy was the sunglasses. Oh I forgot about a couple of bad hangovers
