Hey Poppasmurf...anyone in the medical/drugs end of things will NOT tell you about natural stuff, I think they have some kinda deal going between them and the pharmaceutical companies to keep them in business...
...vets are the same way....my friend got stuff to get rid of fleas on her 2 pooches, and if it didn't work, try it again in a month....?!?!?!....when my 2 got fleas, I researched and bought a powdery/flour-y stuff called diatomaceous earth....you rub it into the dog's coat and leave it on ( complete inert and not harmful at all )...and sprinkle it on your carpets/rugs/dog beds...it's made up of a microscopic organism with spines, and those spines break the exoskeleton outer shell of the fleas, causing them to dry out and die, and it does the same thing with the eggs....a physical cure, NOT a chemical one...
.....you apply it after that on any area you see the dogs scratching, no waiting.....and it's also digestible.....it takes care of inside parasites and worms, including heartworm and giardia ( which comes from drinking dirty water)....same thing, it attaches to the worm/parasite, and dries it out, and it is excreted in the poop....my fluffy girls will get it for a week sprinkled on their food in the spring, which is how long it takes for heartworm to show up after the previous summer.....more people need to know about this stuff.....TR

I am in that profession and trust me, I and alot of others will always try to suggest natural remedies first before anything else. (Like taking 200-400mg of Riboflavin every day will greatly reduce the number/severity of migraines)
