I don't know what all the fuss about on this underwear thing. Back in the day as teenagers when we were going camping, a pair of underwear was good for 4 days! Forwards, backwards, then inside out forwards and inside out backwards.

I don't know how his name came up in conversation, but we were just talking about David Bronstein here in the office.




You probably remember his "Dial A Date" infomercials of days gone by ("Confidential... one-on-one... DISCREET!"). Back in my days in the used CD shop on Yonge St., he came in with a business proposal for my boss. I was with a customer, but he waited patiently just off to the side. When I was done, he came up to me and said, in his Gilbert-Godfried-esuqe voice, "HELL-o... I'm DAVid BRONStein" My reply? "Why yes, of course you are".

He outlined his proposition to me briefly, and left his business card for the owner.

I was on a flight with him and his family, a few years ago. I couldn't stop watching them all as we waited in the gate. He was quiet and normal-speaking as we waited and polite to the crew onboard. I felt confused and kept hearing in my head that I should "get off the couch and pick up the phone!!!!!"

Yeah, the way he sat back and waited before introducing himself told me that he was holding back. But he definately went into on-camera mode when feeding me his pitch, lol.

I wish I'd saved his business card, though.
