I feel for you Chouchou, last year my employer moved what was left of our auto parts business to Mexico plus a bit to China and closed the door, 400 people out of work. I was there 21 years, most employees had 15-30 years of service. I just got a job offer this week, I was one of the lucky few that got hired at OPG out of 2000+ applicants for the position. It's tough out there, I've sent out 300 resume's and employers are telling me they get 300 applicants for every job posting. I hope you got 8 weeks pay "in lieu of notice" plus at least two weeks per year pay with that much time? PM me if you need any advice, I've been through the lawyer scene and learned the ropes of the job search exercise. Don't sit around to long, before you know it a year has passed you by, I don't recommend you attempt to start looking in September, 50,000 other compeditors will be taking the same break and you may end up off all summer like it or not. Best of Luck

What do the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Titanic have in common?
They both look good until they hit the ice.

A Smart Canuck Snow Follies Day, I declare to be in order,
We'll have as much fun here, as if we all went south of the border,
The guys can do the BBQ'ing cause all guys love doing that,
The ladies can stay inside by the fire & have a chitty-chat,
Hot apple cider available with a teensy splash of brandy,
We'll watch the Smart Canuck men outside they'll be our own eye candy,
We can listen for the words & up the volume to all the songs we love,
Simplistic relaxation at its best, is what I’m speaking of,
An afternoon of fun activities is what I am proposing,
You can just drop in or stay all day, cause no one is imposing,
A snowman building contest is an idea or maybe a snowball fight,
Just keep in mind you SC lads, the girls are on a winning plight,
It will be easy today to decide who man the Kissing Booth,
I propose that honour go to the first poster of the sleuth!!
TRUENORTH.....You're gonna be busy this afternoon!
You won the sleuth!!
Line up girls!!

Good Morning Q'bees
It's been another crazy busy week for us. We've been sanding kitchen cupboards, removing trim and doors to prep for painting. Knowing all week that we were going to be under a blanket of snow by today was a good motivator to get alot done so we could take it easy for the weekend.
I'm ready to start what looks like is going to be the first round of shovelling. It's not so bad though, we have a snow-blower so I just have to do the front and back walk ways and Mark will make some trails through the backyard to our driveway. I took your advice SillyLoocie and left my flannels on for under my snowpants!
I've been playing some Jimmy Buffet this morning and am really starting to long for a beach. April can't come soon enough!
Stay safe and warm out there today everyone! We'll be using the 4 wheel drive today!DebnMark

Hello my friends
Thanks for all the kind words, but I feel really wonderful this morning, the wife is telling me to sit back and rest for now, tonight when she finishes work we plan on going to the restaurant and celebrating, sounds weird don't it, but that's the truth. Everyone who sees me says you loom so happy, why not no more worries or pressure.
Only thing for me is it seems funny laying here typing replies to all from home instead f work.
Wow Joanne is going to play a song for me.
WhooWho!!!
I'm loving this.
ChouChou
