Good afternoon fellow Canucks!
As some of you know, Tim Hortons started their Roll Up The Rim To Win campaign yesterday. Yesterday on my first cup, I won a free coffee!!! The odds of winning a prize is 1 in 9, so I am ahead of the game.
Now, do you want to hear a story about a twit? This twit's name is kenrod. I seemed to have misplaced my winning rim from yesterday, which was supposed to be my free coffee from Tim Hortons. I have searched high and low on my desk, including my drawers and the garbage. I was so excited yesterday that I couldn't contain myself. Unfortunately, I couldn't contain my winning tab either.
What I have decided to do today is to save my specially marked cup from this morning, and roll up the rim LIVE... that's right folks... LIVE in front of you!!! How cool is that? This way, you will know the results as soon as I do.
Well folks, I have my Timmys cup in hand lets try to win a fabulous prize today. Hey maybe I'll win that car so I can misplace that too!
<Rolling up the rim on cup #2>
"PLEASE PLAY AGAIN / REESSAYEZ S.V.P."
Well, that's what I get for losing my winning rim. Surely I was geared up to win a cornucopia of prizes from Tim Hortons, but I must have jinxed myself.
Oh well, have a great day folks!

Thanks for that mouth watering visual Wolfie!
What ever would have possessed you to dip it in coffee.... milk would have been much better.... like dunking your Oreos? Yes I split them apart, or I should say, once upon a time when I used to eat Oreos on occasion, I did.
That is well before they thought they would improve on them. Were they not perfect as they were, even being slightly too sweet?

Hi all,
Thanks for all that sent a hi this morning.
For those interested in how my 18 year old son is doing at bootcamp for the Marines in South Carolina, here is some news (many have asked). He went in 4-Jan and (hopefully) comes out a US Marine on 2-Apr.
Got my first letter from Scott yesterday. He says life is stressful ... a lot of getting yelled at. He also said it hasn't been as physical as he thought and he hasn't had much problem (I guess all that back and forth to karate school is paying off). He's is looking forward to graduation and counting the days left.
His girlfriend is coming to the graduation so I'll get to meet her for the first time. He is at the part when they are on the range and says that shooting rifles is a lot of fun!
He says it's all downhill now - he's got through the hard part. But he thinks he might be loosing his mind and concerned about adjusting to civilization when he gets out. I know he meant from all the brainwashing.
I've got train tickets to go to his graduation on the 2nd of April and Family Day on the 1st of April. My brother and I are taking the sleeping car from Niagara Falls both ways stopping in Penn Station NY for a few hours of site seeing. My brother never stops talking so I'm bringing a lot of movies on my laptop to increase the chances of getting some peace, but he'll probably talk through the movies, too - yeash, little brothers can be a pain.
If you're interested, this is a really cute animation of what it's like in the tiny sleeping cars:
http://www.amtrak.com/servlet/Conten...=1241210576303
- Look at virtual bedrooms
- Launch 'Virtual Sleeping Car' (Viewliner 3D tour)
- Pick 'Floor Plan', the 'Roomette Bedroom'
- To see beds go up and down, play around with day and night view
- Arrow around and click on all "i" information icons
It's almost $1400 for two people and almost 48 hours on the train, but includes lots of stuff like free meals in the dinning car. Also included is room service, bed linens, power for laptops, separate heat/light controls, and showers at the end of the car. Should be a fun trip; my first on a sleeping car.
Have a great day everyone and sorry I haven't been around much,
Michele
