Hey the slots were not necessary today - over 25k just on the regular points available. On the other hand, I had a full house Kings over fours at Blue Heron this evening, for a total of $570. Not bad for an hour's 'work'.

....hi BigRed404.....after the fiasco a couple of years ago, about that poisonous gluten that the dog food companies put in the food, I began researching better options for my 2 pooches.....here's what my research uncovered....
.........dog food has in it "meat" under the heading "4-D meat"......the "d's" stand for dead, decayed, diseased and dying.....this also includes road kill, euthanized pets from the vets, spoiled meat from the grocery stores with styrofoam packaging still on it.....and once this slop is processed by these rendering plants, the make it into the nugget shapes, and spray old grease from places like McDonalds for "flavour".....OMG!!!!!....I could NOT believe this was what I was feeding my precious fluffy daughters.....
.....found a chat group who were rawfeeders, learned more, and decided raw was the only option I had.....it's natural, the poops are sooo much smaller cos their bodies are actually able to utilize what they are eating, no more doggie smell, lovely breath, beautiful coats, clean teeth....and my mini dachsie, who developed a type of epilepsy after her first year rabies shot, stopped having these spells completely.....I am absolutely convinced the food I feed her now is responsible for taking care of the epilepsy....and trust me, when I got my girls, I had no intention of feeding this way, yet here I am .....and I even get free meat now and again on Freecycle groups!!!.....TR

While I think it's important not to paint all the manufacurers with the same brush, there is certainly plenty of "slop" out there. I own a pet supply store in the west-end and we're certainly selective about the foods we carry, to make sure they are only quality ingredients, made in domestic factories.

To prepare raw food is a lot of work, so no one can question your commitment to your dogs. Good for you, Tartan, more of us should be more informed.
