Nice temperment never heard anything derogatory about them. Bernese dogs were my favourite. One of the guys at the fire hall use to bring his to work on days when no one was home to look after it. Then one day I was leaving to go home in the morning the dog came up to me like always. I patted him and he walked away I turned my back to hang up my bunker gear and felt a tug on the bottom of my pants and then a sharp pain in the back of my thigh. The dog had bit me and when I turned to punch the dog it was already running away. Another guy heard the commotion and came over i told what had happened and he told that the dog had gotten him a couple of times and him and the owner were best friends and the dog knew him. Apparently this was a common thing for this dog and the owner didn't know what to do. So now that Bernese dogs to me are like any other dog they are no longer my favourite.

I had 3 bernese dogs and never had any troubles with them, one was a national champion,
Oh I am sorry our 2nd bernese was attacked by a golden retriever during obediance training at his next class he attacked the golden and they both got kicked out of training and after that he never liked gold dogs

Lily dog was lying under my feet as I sat on a park bench when my neighbour's unleashed Yorkie pounced on her & took a chunk out of her nose.

We no longer like dogs. Well, she no longer likes dogs, Quincy cat just glares at them. I bake cookies & leave them out for the neighbourhood pooches.

My favourite breed of dog is the Bichon Frise. I am currently dogless (between dogs)but when I'm ready for a new baby, I want another Bichon.

Years ago I had a job where I never saw the sun - I got to my cubicle before sunrise & left after sunset, & on the rare occasion I left my desk, I was never able to catch a glimpse of the world outside. It would have been a dreary existence, if I hadn't gone out dancing 3 nights a week.
