A known convicted criminal goes free and kills someone, yet innocent young girls looking for directions get no break at all. They were willing, according to the article, to accept the fine but had asked that the officers take them to the funeral so they wouldn't miss the burial and deliver the fine there or at least speed up the process of handing out the fine so they could be on their way. They were upset they were being treated like hardened criminals when all they did was commit a traffic violation (again according to the article).
Would you feel the same way if these girls, who were clearly lost, and not paying attention to the road, (otherwise they wouldn't probably wouldn't have been spotted) had hit someone?
What do the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Titanic have in common?

They both look good until they hit the ice.

    Good morning everyone!

Thank you for the overnight words & answers & those during the day as well. Would anyone happen to know how Q chooses the time of day when they call us? For previous contests, we were able to specify a time slot that would be best for us, and with this DCG we have not been given any preference, and our profiles do not indicate our choice either?

Welcome back IMAC! Understandably work is a necessary 'evil' we all need to sustain ourselves...and all work and no play...

Happy Friday Qbees, and if today is any indication of the weekend weather to come... I am thrilled! I can feel Spring is upon us...

Your speaking with an accent today Tartan.
Usually when a guy has too much to drink it's not his fault. He was probably told you were having twins and drinking for three. You didn't have twins by chance did you?
Remember, you were the sober person that should keep an eye on hubby when he's making these sacrifices drinking for both of you.

The law is the law, and going to a funeral or the corner store doesn't make an exception for talking on the phone while driving.

I read the article and I thought that some of Joe Warmington's comments was a pretty lame..... He has a history of spinning #$%^ like this.

    Cheers

That's not what I was saying. I agree completely that they should have pulled over and agree they deserved to be fined, I was just pointing out that the way I read Joe's article was as an attack on the Justice system in Ontario. I think that maybe the cops could have helped them get to the funeral on time.

Ah, I see. So the police in York Region are there to provide escorts or directions to people who get lost?
