I occasionally babysit a friend`s dog for a few hours. Neither of my guys are particularly fond of that idea, so they usually go to the far end of the room & glare, while the houseguest lies at my feet.

At one point, one of my neighbours locked her cat out while rushing off to work, so I ended up babysitting. Lily dog was thrilled beyond words, Quincy cat less so. Quincy was ready to give the interloper a sound thrashing until I convinced him the cookie jar was calling his name. Clearly the old adage about controlling a male by his stomach holds true for cats too.
