I have always told my boys if they are ever out and get into a situation or need to get home, call a cab and get home safely. I always rest much better when I know that they are home safe and sound.
Our talk went really well. I told him I was so glad that he did not attempt to drive and that I was glad that he had enough smarts to realize this.
