Can someone cheer me up???? I was just going over my resume, thinking about going back to work after 17 years and realized that after all that time they only thing I would qualify for refers to "would you like fries with that" Gee and I had a great job!!! with great pay!!!

My look on it is, I could have a better paying job and be miserable or stick with this job for less pay but that I enjoy coming to most days (99 out of 100)
The bottom line to me is - it's NOT the money that makes the job...it's the joy of getting up and going to work.
There is nothing wrong with " do you want fries with that?" if you enjoy the company, co-workers and what your doing.

I agree with Kells. It's not how much money you make, it's the happiness you feel waking up in the morning and looking forward to work. Not that I enjoy going to work, I just make the best out of it and be thankful that I have a job especially during this time of global crisis.

I completely agree. That is why I recently quit my job. Between the bosses temper and the chef's lack of composure it wasn't any fun. I'd rather make less money and have my self-esteem than be called an idiot.

Work for yourself and the pay check NOT what people will think of the job you have
