As being married for over 20 years twice, and the last 2 years single,
you don't want to be in a married atmosphere. I'm either glad to be in a different frame of life and don't want to be reminded of the married life,
or at times I miss the married life, and don't want to be reminded by being with others who are happily together.
I still see my married friends, just not as often and as long.
:excited: & :bawling:, but always , and sometimes:yikes:.
You never know, maybe one day, :sweet:again.

My single friends (divorce) are pleased that we still get together and have a realtionship. The 2 that no longer want anything to do with me and hubby and our other married friends, now have younger new friends and have moved on to the "Single" gang of people. That's their choice and I wish them the best. What I am saying is don't just let your lost to divorce friends go. Make the effort to re-connect and meet them for coffee - if they bail or don't return calls or e-mails and just plain seem like they don't care, then let them go.
Yeah I can imagine it could be hard. We are coming up on 19 yrs and out of our "group" we are the only ones still married.... Kinda wondering if there is something wrong with us!!!!!!!! At are Jack & Jill we were the ones predicted to split first. It took me a long time to wanna get married. Oh well I still feel like I'm 19 and my kids think they are more mature than us. (true) Besides the ravages of gravity I'm still goning to act 19 dress 19 and jsut have as much fun as life allows.
Happy Friday everyone! Thanks for all the words from the wee hours.... wishing everyone a fantastic weekend!! >;] :tongue1:

Did they do the boss yet???
thanks the Krust
Unfortunatley it's very easy to get a divorce now a days. Some people are not ment to live together. They are both wonderful people, get along as friends but not very good partners living together. Marriage takes alot of work from BOTH parties. It's a constant, it has to be top on the list of important items in both peoples lives.
Many, many friends can't believe that Hubby and I are going to be celebrating our 25th this June. They said it would never last, young love was not worth jumping into marriage right away. I am 42 now (married hubby when I was 17)...LOL - YES!!!
We are still married, living together, talk each day, watch movies together, etc. we have 2 boys (24 and 20).
Wow Kells, At 17 I was ...well I remember bits and pieces, but way to selfish.. Cheers to you, I stayed selfish until 1991. Had to give up the Travel and "stuff" but it has been worth every minute. My daughter is 17 in June and my son 13 in Aug. Now I can't imagine life any other way. Well Me and hubbies Saturday night beer helps too!!! LOL
