morning all! nice day out there today...i've redefined the meaning of 'nice' to mean it's just not raining; doesn't mean it's sunny or really warm, i've now lowered my standards for the rest of the summer!

I try to look at the bright side of the weather we've been having. No smog. People aren't dying of heat or asthma. No sunburn (I'm white white). Saving energy - less use of air conditioners. It's beautiful and green. And there's still time for good weather.

Good morning fellow Q Canuckers!

Sorry for not poking my head in yesterday. I had the day off and I took the family to Marineland. Everyone loves Marineland!

Don't worry, I won't sing the song... I'm sure your kids have sung that Marineland song countless times in the hope that you would take them there.

After Marineland, we had dinner at the Hard Rock in Niagara Falls, then saw a free concert across the street. Right after that there was a fireworks display at the falls. A great day was had by all!

I think you get a new maple leaf under your screen name by posting 100 messages. Getting a new leaf also changes your description from "CaNewbie" to "CaLoonie" etc. Although I noticed some of the SCers have modified their description below their screen names. I don't know how to do that, but you seemd to have figured that out.

Ah, Phil, being an admitted hitech junkie, I'm never too far from my computer and listening to Q107 on it. Multi-tasking patio constructor/computer junkie. I'll have to call and get more bolts on Monday. Its like my table has been drinking already this morning because it's wobbly.

Kenrod, sorry I think I posted something last week thinking you were a guy with the name Ken. Hi girl. To change your 'custom user name', go to 'User CP' (top left) and 'Edit Your Details'.

By the way, there are two Michele's (both with one L) regularly on this board. Very unusual since less than 10% of Michele's are spelled with only one L.

LOL. Yes, you are a guy. Sorry (that I called you a girl and that you're not one of the superior sex ... he he). Who was that then that I thought was a guy and they were a girl. Don't answer that. Maybe I need Tim Hortons, too. Gotta watch those boy and girl symbols.

Still in a bit of a shock from yesterday. My new glass patio table top was on its end against the wall outside 5' high x 3' wide, when the wind suddenly picked up so much that I thought we were in for a tornado here in Mississauga. Standing in the kitchen, we heard a big crash and smashing glass ... The table did fall, but it didn't break (holy cow!) ... only the floor lamp smashed under it.
