Freezing tips wanted;
I'm off tomorrow to get the Oasis juice that's on sale, has anyone had any lucking freezing juice that is in a milk/juice carton, any tricks/ tips - do I need to pour some out / I'm afraid that it's going to expand as it freezes and make a mess?
Also any tips/tricks to keeping hamburger buns freezer burn free - double bag, etc.....I'm looking for answers because I'm going to stock up on hamburger buns.
thanks in advance
Please post tips or tricks for these or any other products.

I'd either pour some out before you freeze or make sure the carton is slightly open when thawing.
Water and water containing products have a larger volume as liquid than as solid which is why the small expansion causes breaks in the container.....pushes Prof Penguin back in her cage.....

For buns, I put them in a freezer bag, then zip it almost all the way closed, I put a straw in the little opening and suck out all the air so that they are starting to get pushed down. Zip it shut tight, place that bag inside another freezer that you do the same to and pop it in the freezer. My buns, when defrosted always are like the day I bought them, no freezer burn. I am wanting to get one of those machines that seals the bags but they are so expensive, so I'm waiting for one to show up athe the costco auction so I can get it for less than half price.

Thank you Darth Penguin for your tips.

I always freeze my juice (carton). I don't open it at all and have never had a problem with it leaking...although I can't guarantee that it won't ever.
