Differences in Redemption Days?

A question for you SDM Optimum Brainiacs....

what is the difference between Bonus Redemption Days and Mega Redemption Days? Is it worth holding out in hopes for another Mega Redemption Day? :shrug:

periodically shoppers has bonus redemption days - where typically 50,000 points is worth $100 instead of $85, and 95,000 points is worth $200. for the last 2 years, on the first weekend of dec, they have had a Mega redemption - 50,000 points was worth $125, 95,000 was worth $250. Who knows if they will do it again this year. Probably, but not guaranteed :)

Occasionally throughout the year (maybe once or twice) they also have spend 80,000pts and get $200 off too.

What I did last year (and so far this year) is redeem here and there if there is something that I need. I usually just opt to redeem $100, while still keeping at least 95,000 pts in case of some super duper promo that I just can't pass up!

Also the last few years in Nov they do a promo where you get bonus points for buying gift cards. It's a good way to boost your points before a mega redemption.

i personally only use 50k points to get $100 off during bonus redemtions days. i like to save most of my points and use then for christmas gifts and goodies.during last years mega redemtion i used 95k points for christmas gilfts and another 95k for food and goodies.
