-
Mon, Apr 2nd, 2012, 07:15 AM #1Expired
I got a temporary ban (for a week) with the following:
Spamming non direct and affiliate links.
Now, I had 3 links in one post, all going to Home Depot's website when they had BBQs on clearance...
I'm not sure what I did wrong? This thread is currently associated with: Home Depot

Hi there, they linked to another site, and one of them had a virus warning. Please direct link only.

While the links went directly to homedepot if I recall correctly, even if they did go to a site with a virus warning, that wasn't a little heavy handed? Not deleting the post and/or PM'ing me, just a ban with a vague/inaccurate message?
It's your show so that is obviously your prerogative, just not very inviting for a new user...
Thanks for your time and responding, regardless of the message.

Frank, they probably would just send it for a long term user, but there are so many spammers signing up to SC that links that cause issues from a new user are seen as spam - the mods aren't perfect but it is understandable given all the spammers

A pm was sent and then another post was made.
Expiring because of Madchives usual drama.
