If it can be minimized that could be great otherwise on my screen it's almost an inch wide takes up too much space.

It is in IE. With chrome it is at the bottom.
And now it is actually shifting parts of it on the screen after I posted that. Sometimes it will only be at the sides of the viewing area when I am actually replying to something so atleast I can see what I am typing.
I personally like as little on the screen as possible so I see the posts. Probably why I hate that top red bar as well. I know you need the ad piece but if you could make the rest smaller it would help make it so there is more "meat" and less fluff.Last edited by kerrylj; Tue, Apr 3rd, 2012 at 01:37 PM.

The ability to Hide/Show the bar has now been implemented. It sets a cookie (valid for 365 days) on the machine/browser you hide/show the bar from. Enjoy!
This is cookie based, so using another computer, or browser will not have your preference. You will just need to set it again by clicking the Show/Hide link.

I'm having the same problem as Sweet Sparrow. I've did the ctrl - refresh a few times and it's not helping. It also wont let me use the "hide" feature. When I pressed it, nothing happens. I hate the stupid green bar! It's always in the way!

Out of curiousity, tried HIDE feature to no avail. On PC with IE, havent tried FF yet.
> Static Green bar is very thoughtful, HIDE feature even more so!
I didnt care for the Green bar on my android Samsung Note, because I couldnt access/open pages that were at the bottom of the page. The Green bar HIDE feature will eliminate this. I hope HIDE offers other option besides 365 days - a 'just for a moment' option would be ideal! Green bar rocks. VERY HANDY - scroll finger salutes!

The idea behind the 365 day cookie is so that you can set it to your preference and not have to keep setting it. You can always turn the bar on or off. It's on by default. We know of the display problem currently in IE and we are fixing it.
