Not getting a refund is technically a good thing, you haven't paid more than what you should have.
For those getting a refund have (in reality) given extra money to CRA they are returning your money back to you interest free..

We haven't done our taxes yet, that's a project for this weekend, but we generally do get a decent refund. In past years we've done a project for the household - new oil tank, new roof, new deck, etc. We don't have any debt except our house, and pay more than we need to on that already so we don't make extra payments there.
This year, life is a bit more uncertain. We might tuck that cash away for awhile.
