There are three switches outside a room. the room contains no windows or any means of seeing in or out. Each switch corresponds to one of three light bulbs in the room.
You may turn the switches on and off and leave them in any position you would like.
You are only permitted to enter the room once.
Once you have entered the room, you must identify the switch and it's corresponding light bulb, before leaving.
How would you identify which switch belongs to each light bulb?
turn on switch #1 and leave it for 5-10 minutes then switch it off,
turn on switch #2
leave switch #3 off
enter room
switch #2 is the one turned on
switch #1 is off but light bulb is warm
switch #3 is off but is cold

At least one of them lied. Who is the boy and who is the girl and how do you know?
They both lied.
The child with the black hair is the girl, and the child with the white hair is the boy.
