Today's brag was frustrating but worthwhile in the end. I had already been through the store once but forgot to pick up a nutritional scale so I had to run back in for that one item. I stopped at the jewellery counter and asked if I could check out there since I only had one item. The scale rang in at $39.97 instead of the shelf price of $18.77. So the cashier and I walked down to the aisle and I showed her the tag and the full shelf of the scales.
So she told me the UPCs didn't match and it wasn't the right price for the item so I would have to pay full price despite a full shelf sitting in front of the wrong price tag. I laughed, grabbed another one off the shelf (and left her standing there with the other one) and walked away after telling her the cashiers at the front would get it done properly.
Having worked at WM before and being a couponer, I know this isn't policy and I would have left a complaint but I was running late for the bus after spending 20 minutes getting my item sorted out. What a nasty cashier.
Up at the front I got the scale for $8.77 after the $10 off from SCOP. Took me almost 20 minutes waiting but it was well worth the wait. This thread is currently associated with: Walmart

Oh, that would drive me bonkers. That actually sounds like most of my trips to Walmart though... Hate Walmart for inconsistent cashiers, and sometimes CSMs!!
I've been spending most of my time in super long lineups after I've picked a promising looking cashier. Then I wonder how many people are in my lineup because of the exact same thought!
Good price on the scale though!

I'm glad you stood your ground on that one - I've had experiences like that at Wal-Mart - it's never fun. But good for you for sticking to what you know! And great deal btw!

And you're right; sometimes it's easier just to walk away and go get someone else's help than arguing with the one who doesn't get it.
