The only way I've figured to do it is to tap the little box to the left of the search box at the top of the screen, that will take you to a main menu of sorts. From there tap messages and you can then pm people. You do have to type in their username but that's the only way I know how.
Would love to know if anyone else knows.
I have an iphone and I got the Tapatalk app so I could browse the forum and respond to messages, etc. from my phone. The only thing you can't really do with Tapatalk is check out the itrader or give ratings. I love the app, it's a lifesaver! :)

I wonder which skin you're using when on mobile? Is it the mobile skin or the normal one?
Ryan, maybe we need to improve on the mobile skin a bit if people are using it.
If you're using the mobile skin, I've figured out the problem and you should now be able to see PM/Edit/Reply/Quote/etc under each post. So I think we can hold off on working on the mobile skin for the time being - the skin now has all of the basic functionality that most people would need. A mobile site can never be as full-fledged as the full one anyway.
Tapatalk is great, by the way. :)
