    Starbucks has their promotion again, where once you buy ANY drink, they give you a link to a survey, which if you complete you get a free drink of any kind and any size at your next visit

    I thought it was at random you are selected for the survey and not a guarantee every time. Am I wrong?

    That's exactly what it is. The customer service survey is randomly generated by the till. Occasionally, we'll have a promotion on the receipts that is something like "buy a drink in the morning and bring back the receipt in the afternoon for a half price drink", but the survey you're talking about isn't a promotion, it's our way of getting customer feedback.

    Always ask for your receipt at Starbucks. Staff will ask you if you want it, and my friend (who works there) says most customers say no. Thus staff collect the receipts (and codes) and give them to their friends to redeem. Yeah, sneaky.
