My funfilled (wrong codes used) 20x the shop.

I was at sdm waaayyy to early this morning.
I was not bright enough to deal with it till later in the day.

I had over $30 in manager special coupons.
I noticed they were being rung in with really weird codes.
My comments were pretty much ignored.

I did get my 20x the points since I had enough coupons rang in at 2001.
I strongly dislike the supervisor that was on so I decided to deal with it later.

The codes used were
2023
2024
2044
And 1 even says "shoppers flyer coupon"

I didn't get any points for the coupons rung under these codes.

Against better judgement I called headoffice but I really wanted to know if those codes existed and atleast get the base points.
They told me the codes didn't exists, they were entered incorrectly. They were willing to give me the base points. I played dumb and asked how it would affect my 20x. He (Richard) told me it wouldn't count towards the 20x and said he'd even read their up-to-date coupon policy to me. He was very friendly about it. He said he'd add the points or I could take everything back to the store and have everything rung back in.
I took my chances with the store & got my points!
The supervisor had 2 other calls while I was there about people missing points.

I have no clue what was up at two Shoppers yesterday as I was the victim of multiple screw ups that cost me $10 in overcharges I have to get dealt with today.

Also noticed that on one receipt they entered a coupon as Royale GWP -0.50?????

Oh jeez, the things we all hear about SDM!

I'm glad things finally got worked out for you but I hate how we have to suffer and be hassled because someone couldn't do their job right the first time. Its completely unfair to us. I'm sure we all have better things to do then go back to a store to make sure things are fixed properly.

I had a bunch of managers specials as well yesterday, and didn't notice until things were getting rung through on the back of the managers special have a special coupon code, maybe for some sort of tracking purposes, not sure I didn't question it, all mine were different as well tho!

When I went back to the store she said those codes could be what was on the back of the stickers, she had no way of knowing.
Yet headoffice says they don't exist?
Would really suck if we can't earn points on manger specials anymore.

No I didn't get base points, but I got free cookies cause the manager coupon was more than the price of cookies.....lol but it does suck not getting base points, as for head office saying they don't exist, i find with shoppers there is always a different answer to questions! lol

I've never ran into manager coupons on food that didn't give points!
I went to this store because I knew a lot of their cereal had $3 off coupons and previously those can be counted towards the $50.

As for headoffice. I know their answers aren't consistant, I avoid them as much as possible.
But you'd think they would know if codes existed or not.

Very strange codes! Why did the machine accept those codes? The cashier should have gotten an entry error message and should not be able to proceed with transaction. Strange things are happening at SDM these days:confused:
