Looking for Sponsors or Donations for Charity Event

Hi Everyone,

The Huntington's Disease Society of Ottawa is holding an awesome fundraiser at the Rideau Carelton Raceway on June 21st, 2012 and we are looking for sponsors and donations. Or if you have any suggestions as to ideas for our raffle please let me know! If you know anyone looking for some publicity for their company please email me and I will forward it onto our organizer. From what I know for $500 will get ads in the brochure, on the event board, a picture with the winning horse for your sponsored race, a table for 4 to enjoy the races/events and the food.

If you want a night out at the casino we will be selling tickets for $50. You get an all you can eat buffet, $25 tax receipt, $5 voucher for slots, enjoy the races, free vallet and coat check. We will be holding a 50-50 draw and a raffle with hopefully multiple gift baskets! It really is for an amazing cause!

My husband put on a fundraiser a few months ago and was able to get tons of swag donated from local businesses and corporations. It was a lot of time making calls , e-mails , picking up donations etc. He worked on it for almost a year before the event. A few suggestions for donations would be Best Buy , Banks , Restaurants , Walmart etc. I would say 98% of companies are willing to donate.
