this is only a guess but did you have an epidural? and your experiencing pain from that.. I was lucky enough to have my husband find a nearly brand new TENS machine at a thrift store here for $15~!.. only cost me the cost of the reusable pads at my local SDM ($15) . so for $30 I have a great machine to relieve lots of back pain. i hope you find some relief.

just small equipments, something like a handheld device.

You might want to look at adult on-line stores as they sometimes have hand held massagers like the Hitachi wand.

check sdm in the health section, or what dartg penguin said... even walmart and zellers carry the small battery operated massagers.

Body shop used to sell a great wooden one. It wasn't battery operated but good nonetheless.

omg...the epidural, I got one and the back pain is Unbearable esp. around that time of the month
